Guest Speaker Recording: Paige Emerson, founder of Chubby Hiker Reviews
Back in June, the Maine Trails Coalition’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Work Group organized their first guest speaker event with Paige Emerson, the founder of Chubby Hiker Reviews (CHR). Chubby Hiker Reviews encourages people of all body types and sizes to recreate responsibly in the great Maine outdoors.
Emerson spoke to how and why she started CHR, how she chooses and rates trails, and how her group has grown. She also shared considerations for organizations and folks involved with trails on how to foster more welcoming trails and trail communities through the lens of a plus-sized hiker.
