Maine Trails Program Grant
The Maine Trails Program (MTP) is a statewide initiative to support the design and development of trails for outdoor recreation and active transportation. Created by the Maine Legislature in 2024, the program is administered by the Bureau of Parks and Lands (BPL) within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
The 2026 deadline to apply is June 26, 2026. The current round of funding will be available to municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and ATV and snowmobile clubs. Find the program guidelines and learn more on the BPL website. (Click here to visit the page: Maine Trails Program)
If you’d like to discuss the program with someone near you or with particular trails expertise, reach out to one of the Maine Trails Program Ambassador volunteers and schedule time for conversation.
