Have Your Say: Quick Survey to Improve the Maine Trails Program Grant Process
As valued participants in Maine’s network of trail organizations, your experience is crucial. Whether you and your trail organization applied for a Maine Trails Program grant this fall or not, we’d like to hear from you through the questionnaire linked below.
This brief survey, put together by the Maine Trails Program Ambassador volunteers and the Maine Trails Coalition, is a unique opportunity to provide feedback and potentially spur tangible improvements. Your responses will drive two distinct outcomes:
Immediate Action: MTC and the MTP Ambassadors will use this data to design and deliver better applicant preparation workshops, guides, and one-on-one assistance for the next round of MTP funding.
Long-Term Influence: This collective data will help us assemble recommendations for the Maine Bureau of Public Lands, which oversees the program. We’ll share your suggestions (anonymized) to help enhance the program’s application and overall process. While the final decisions rest with the Bureau, your unified voice holds significant weight.
Your experience is crucial. If your group didn't apply for a grant this year, that feedback is gold. Was it due to a simple reason, such as lack of time, or not knowing about the program? Or was the barrier more complex? Sharing your 'why not' now is the key to making the Maine Trails Program more accessible and successful for everyone in the future.
This takes only 5 minutes. The deadline is November 23 (extended 11/16). Thank you for helping us make the next grant cycle smoother for everyone.
Your feedback helps the Maine Trails Coalition and our many partners to serve you better. We look forward to analyzing this data and using it to inform both our own support strategies and our recommendations to the Bureau of Public Lands.
Thank you - we appreciate your voice and your time.
