Do you Love Maine Trails? Maine trails need your help! The Maine Trails Coalition and stewardship organizations throughout the state invite you to lace up your boots, put on some work gloves, and give back to Maine’s trails during Love Month Trails Month which will take place from Saturday, June 25th through Sunday, July 31, 2022. Join us for kick off events on Saturday, June 25th at locations throughout Maine that host trails.

The inaugural Love Maine Trails Month aims to harness the collective power of Maine’s organizations and volunteers to engage in critical trail work projects that support and improve the trails we love here in Maine. If your organization is already hosting trail work during this Month, we invite you to add your event(s) to our Love Maine Trails Month calendar. At the conclusion of Love Maine Trails Month, organizations will be put in a drawing for prizes that will help advance their trail projects based on number of volunteer hours, amount of quality trail work done, and more!

A variety of trail work projects will be available for volunteers of all ages and all are invited to attend a work day during Love Maine Trails Month. No prior trail work experience is needed for many of the trail work projects during this special month, just a willingness to learn and a desire to care for Maine’s trails.

If your organization can host or wants to align a trail work day with Love Maine Trails Month, please submit a Host Registration Form.

More options will be added to the calendar as we receive them, so keep checking back for a Love Maine Trails Month trail work day opportunity near you!
